Rewild Portland Welcomes New Interns!

We are proud to introduce to you our three new amazing interns. Each one of them possesses unique talents which add a tremendous amount to the Rewild Portland team. We are stoked on working with them and leveraging their strengths to make Rewild Portland grow to the next level. Get to know them a little better by reading their bios:

Kelila Eichstadt, Intern, Order of the Phoenix, first class. Growing up next to the Molalla River, Kelila learned to value the earth from a young age. In high school, she was very involved with environmental advocacy and co-founded the high school’s “Green Team”. She became the communications officer and was a driving force behind the club’s Earth Day event, Greenstock. Over two years, she worked with the club and the community and furthered the success of the event. Leaving the legacy behind her, Kelila now attends Portland State University where she is studying French and globalization. She aspires to learn all she can and master many new skills through her experience with Rewild Portland.

Kyle Lindsey, intern, lover of cats and cheese, Rewild Portland’s knight in shining armor. Kyle Lindsey started down the path of an environmental activist at a young age. During his time at Molalla High School he conceived and co-founded the school’s first organization geared towards environmental education and activism, known as “The Green Team”. He studies music and environmental studies at Portland State University. Whether it be through music, rewilding, volunteer work, or activism, Kyle’s drive is his care for the Earth and all of it’s inhabitants.

Jesse Ambrose, intern, filmmaker, photographer, artist, casual writer. Jesse moved from Lancaster, PA to Portland, OR to attend the Art Institute of Portland, where he currently studies film. Active engagement and pursuit of environmental, social, and political concerns introduced Jesse to rewilding through green-anarchism. Driven by a desire for a deeper community, re-relationship with the land, and a simple love for all things outdoors, Jesse is excited to discover where rewilding will lead. He contributes to Rewild Portland in multiple ways including filming promos and rewilding profiles, as well as photographing events, and blogging.
